Today is the 8th day we have been home and yet it feels like we have always been a family. So strange but everything seems just as it should be. Believe it or not we have already gotten a good schedule done and life is going pretty smooth considering the short period of time we have all been together but like I said we just fit together perfect!

Hannah does very well and seems to improve daily with her adjustment. She has a crazy melt down once or twice a day which consist of her trying to knock over chairs, pull cushions off the furniture, tip over the trash, or like yesterday it was shoving the rocker into the fireplace and wall. All the while sweating and laughing hysterically. If you try to calm her she hits and pulls hair etc..I know that she was being given sedation while at the institution and I am wondering if some of this behavior could be drug withdrawals. Whatever it is we will eventually work through it but for now we are calling it her episodes and trying to keep a sense of humor during them.

She still has no clue how to play with toys but we keep introducing them to her and they mostly get thrown. She has started to snuggle a baby we bought her, (it is like a rag doll), at night along with several stuffed animals. She has another baby doll with cloths that she will play with for a while. She undresses but has not figured out how to put them back on although we have shown her. She sit and try until she get s really frustrated then we help her.

Yesterday we had an apt for Audiya to schedule a swallowing test and today both babies have an echo cardiogram. We are really anxious to have the results so that we can relax about them. I have numerous other apt's scheduled mostly in October and I hope by Christmas we will know what each child needs to have done medically. I also hope to have all of their therapies set up so we can begin by the new year!

I am putting a few pictures below of our dog and Hannah. She loves the dog and he is just amazing with her and all of our children and grandchildren as well.

I will hopefully be able to add some more pictures soon and updates about their medical conditions. Please keep us in your prayers while we are trying to arrange all of these apt"s because at times it can feel a bit overwhelming.

Here are a few of our little Angels as well!

And last but not least my Jojo!

  1. So much cuteness in one house! How can you stand it? LOL
Thankful for your sweet dog, great therapy for Hannah!
Praying for all the appts. It is a bit overwhelming at first getting them all checked out. Great perspective though that by the new year you should have everything done and have therapies set up for them.
