John and I met in Monterey, California while he was attending the Naval Post Graduate School, and I was attending Monterey Peninsula College. We dated for 7 months and were married on Father's Day of 1981. My dad said "it was the best gift he ever got"...LOL! John was a single father of three small children and so I not only married him but became an instant mother. :) We spent the next 10 years moving every 18 mo to 2 years until we retired and settled in Merritt Is, Florida. While he was still in the Navy I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in San Diego, and we adopted 3 precious baby girls in Seoul, Korea. We spent 20 years in Florida where John worked at Kennedy Space Center and I was a stay at home Mom. We adopted 3 more children while in Fl. 1 boy and 2 girls. In 2010 we transferred to Huntsville, Alabama where he continued to work for the space program. In the fall of 2010 he was hired by the Government working with the Navy at Crane, In.
So we have a total of 10 children. 7 girls and 3 boys. Our oldest Jeremey is married with no children. He served in the Navy and is now working for AT&T in GA. Our oldest daughter Charity is married with 4 children. 2 boys and 2 girls. Christopher her youngest son was born with Hypochondroplasia. He is 10 now and is an amazing boy. Her youngest daughter Emma who is adopted from Korea has Osteogenesis imperfecto, (brittle bone). Charity and her husband both served in the Navy until the children were born. Chris retired and works for the Government and Charity is a stay at home mom. They live in Merritt Is, Fl. Brandon is next. He has 1 son and is a very dedicated father. He works for General Dynamic's and lives in Merritt Island, Fl. Faith is married with 3 beautiful children and is a stay at home mom although she has her teaching degree. Her husband is a youth pastor at Bay Community Church in Daphne, AL. They are in the process of adopting a little girl from Korea with special needs. Grace was our very special child. She suffered from CP, Dystonia, seizure disorder, and cortical blindness. We had the joy of being her parents for 16 years. She went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2004. Hope is married with no children. She and her husband live in Huntsville, AL where she works as a beautician. Madeleine has 1 child, Josiah, who is living with us. She served in the Navy but now lives in Orlando and is attending Valencia Jr College. Matthew is serving in the Army and is stationed in Va. Elizabeth is working and living in Daphne, Al. She plans to begin college this fall. Maria our youngest is living in Daphne, Al but has enlisted in the Marine Corps and leaves for boot camp this month, (March). Hopefully I didn't miss anyone...LOL!
