Hannah has started losing her balance more and her legs are getting weaker! Her feet are turning in and she is unable to walk as well with her walker as she did a few weeks ago. I called the Neurosurgeon as this can be a sign of the tethered spinal cord getting worse. They called back and will see her Friday! One of the things they mentioned was she may need a shunt. Her ventricles are slightly enlarged and there are some other things on her MRI they are seeing that could be causing this. Please pray that a shunt is not needed. There are so many problems that come with having one put in. Although the release of the tethered cord is a huge surgery at least it is done when the surgery is over and you don't have to worry about all the complications with the shunt. Also pray that God gives John and me wisdom in making the right decisions concerning this and all of her treatments! Thanks!
